November is host to all sorts of sales events, typically relating to Black Friday, the largest consumer spending day of the year. While retailers all over are launching their own promotions for Black Friday, and in some cases another shot at a PS5 or Xbox Series X, it appears that Steam will be running its annual Autumn game sale starting tomorrow.
According to SteamDB, Steam's Autumn sale is slated to start Wednesday, which is tomorrow. In addition to the Autumn Sale itself, SteamDB also confirmed that the event would see the nominations for the Steam Awards 2020, including two new categories: 'Best Soundtrack' and 'Sit Back and Relax.' However, SteamDB didn't go so far as to reveal which games will go on sale, so there will still be some surprises waiting for those looking to expand their PC gaming library.
By Martin Brinkmann on November 26, 2020 in Games - 5 comments There are plenty of sales on Steam throughout the year, some smaller, some bigger. The Autumn Sale is a bigger sale as it runs from November 25 to December 1. As is the case with recent Steam sales, all deals that you see is what you get. The Steam 2020 Autumn Sale is here! This thread will serve as a daily discussion and a place to post questions and other miscellaneous comments about the sale. Thread comments are sorted by new by default, but don't forget that you can change the sorting for yourself if you'd rather view top comments.
So far there haven’t been any leaks surrounding a potential Steam Black Friday 2020 sale, but judging by past launches the Steam Autumn sale should be starting soon. The Steam Black Friday 2020 sale is expected to launch on either Tuesday November 24 or Wednesday November 25.

It's also worth noting that nothing has been officially confirmed yet, so there's a chance that the sale won't kick off quite yet. Previously leaks indicated that Steam's Autumn Sale would start on November 26, so it could still be few days until it starts. SteamDB does have a good track record, though, so those waiting for a chance to score some major discounts on games will want to keep their eyes on Steam tomorrow.
Steam Autumn Sale 2020 will begin next Wednesday (25th) along with Steam Awards Nominations for 2020.
This time around, there will be 2 new categories: 'Best Soundtrack' and 'Sit Back and Relax'.

Fans won't have to wait too late into the day to find out for sure. If SteamDB is accurate, the sale will kick off at 10 AM PST, running until December 1. That leaves an entire week to pick up new games, which falls in line with what Steam usually does for sales. Typically, there are some large discounts on titles, with older gems usually seeing drastic price reductions for those that want to try out some classics. Even newer, triple-a titles will get discounts, though, so there should be something for everyone.

Those without a gaming PC need not worry, as there will still be plenty of opportunities for console players to pick up game deals in the coming weeks. Xbox and PlayStation are offering their own discounts on games for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as brick and mortar retailers offering decent discounts on new games, including some 2-for-1 deals in certain cases. Even Nintendo is offering discounts on first-party software this year, which is almost unheard of.
Luckily, most of the deals are available online this year, allowing shoppers to pick them up from the safety of their own homes.
